Stainless Steel Cam Levers for Corrosive Industrial Environments

KIPP has introduced new cam levers made from A4 stainless steel, developed for use in demanding environmental conditions. The operating elements are intended for applications in the chemical industry, shipbuilding, offshore environments, as well as in food processing, pharmaceutical, and medical technology sectors, where resistance to moisture, salt, and aggressive media is required.

Tool-free clamping with repeatable force
Cam levers enable tool-free clamping without a defined tightening torque. The clamping force is generated via a cam mechanism that moves the pressure washer linearly onto the component. This principle reduces stress on sensitive surfaces while ensuring high repeatability in repeated clamping operations.

In applications with frequent actuation, the system allows fast fixing and releasing of components. The clamping force can be adjusted and remains stable over many cycles, contributing to process reliability.

A4 stainless steel for enhanced resistance
The A4 stainless steel version is designed for environments where standard materials reach their limits. The material offers high resistance to corrosion and chemical exposure and is suitable for humid and saline conditions.

It also features low magnetizability, making it suitable for applications with sensitive measurement or process requirements. This enables use in both indoor and outdoor environments without performance limitations due to external conditions.

Compact design and flexible integration
The cam levers feature a compact design, allowing installation in confined spaces. Their construction enables straightforward maintenance and easy replacement, even under demanding operating conditions.

Variants are available with internal and external threads from M3 to M10, as well as inch threads from 6-32 to 3/8-16. Surface finishes include electrolytically polished and blasted versions.

Extension of existing product series
The new A4 variants complement the existing series K2121, K2126, K0645, and K0647. This extends KIPP’s portfolio for applications requiring enhanced material performance, durability, and long-term reliability.
