Settle Plate Changer for automated viable monitoring
The first North American premiere is the new Settle Plate Changer (SPC). Only just launched in Europe in June, the SPC 100 has already won the German Packaging Award in the packaging machines category. The patented, fully automated SPC answers an important requirement of pharmaceutical manufacturers regarding the new EU GMP Annex 1: it significantly reduces manual operator intervention to replace the settle plates for viable monitoring of the sterile fill-finish process. The Settle Plate Changer is available both with the purchase of a new machine and as a retrofit for existing equipment. It can also be seamlessly integrated into all third-party machines and control systems.
New RMA for the flexible assembly of small batches
As the second U.S. premiere, the new RMA assembly machine shows co-creation at its best: “We developed the RMA in cooperation with pharmaceutical customers to assist them in determining the properties of their drug delivery devices during clinical trials,” says Sigurt Johnson, Product Manager at Syntegon. The space-saving, semi-automatic machine can assemble a variety of medtech devices, for instance pens and auto-injector for diabetes and obesity treatment, all in complying with regulatory standards. “The RMA follows our design philosophy on scalability, offering customers a seamless and easy transition to machines with higher outputs when increasing capacity for a market launch,” Johnson adds.
GKF 60: new standards in lab-scale capsule filling
Designed for early R&D stages, the GKF 60 capsule filling machine features a wide variety of dosing systems at different OEB levels. The mobile machine with only six stations requires little space and few format parts. Its processes can be scaled-up seamlessly to the next-larger production-scale machines of the GKF series. Moreover, the newly developed vibration dosing station makes it possible to fill very small quantities starting at 0.1 milligram filling weight with high accuracy. Customers can choose between a standard, a containment, and a combi solution. The latter can be adapted for both simple and highly potent formulations up to OEB5 high containment in just a few steps.
