Debuting cost-effective stretcher-assist robots and advanced medical actuators, NSK redefines automation in healthcare with solutions that enhance efficiency and safety for key workers.
As part of a new product offer, global bearing specialist NSK is able to produce customised pre-assembled cartridge units for applications requiring extremely precise rotational performance. These compact bespoke units feature a pair of NSK precision deep groove ball bearings to facilitate high-speed, high-precision operation in devices that include handheld vacuum cleaners, encoders, surgical equipment and optical inspection instruments.
Manufacturers across Europe are experiencing the economic pain of rising energy bills, which creates a dilemma: absorb the cost or pass it on to valued customers. Neither is particularly easy. As a result, now is the ideal moment for companies to reduce their running costs with correctly aligned machines and energy-efficient bearing solutions from NSK.
NSK is working to assist society by developing new service robot technology, including robotic devices for moving patients in medical settings. In October 2021, the company joined a Japanese government initiative to implement robotic technology in hospitals and help prevent the spread of Covid-19. NSK is now working to develop its robotic technologies further through dialogue with frontline medical staff.
NSK linear guides and rolling bearings find use in many advanced automation systems for plastic injection moulding processes, including the industrial robots manufactured by Campetella Robotic Center.
Euromac, a global specialist in the design and manufacture of punching and bending machines, is benefitting from NSK ball screws, linear guides and bearings in two high-profile recent projects. In fact, Euromac has been taking advantage of NSK motion control technology since 1995 as part of a long-standing and highly successful partnership.
As an expert in motion control, NSK frequently supplies customers with manipulators and positioners that meet micrometre and even nanometre accuracy requirements. Such solutions perform fine positioning operations under a microscope field of view, demanding the application of skilled engineering and know-how. A case in point is NSK’s nanopositioner, which exemplifies the company’s expertise in integrated mechatronics and precision positioning drive technology. This knowledge is the result of many decades spent pioneering the development of related technologies such as bearings, linear-motion products and image-processing solutions.
